Mission to provide affordable legal aid services to women and children

The National Legal Aid Clinic for Women (NLACW) was founded in 1990 with the mission to provide affordable legal aid services to women and children in marginalized social sectors who have experienced social injustice.

Many of these individuals lack the financial means to hire a lawyer for legal representation in their pursuit of justice. NLACW is dedicated to offering legal services, representation, legal information, and education. Additionally, the organization actively engages in advocacy for policy and law reform concerning the rights of women and children.

The funding for NLACW's activities comes from various sources, including donations from its parent organization, the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ), client contributions, and collaborations with partner organizations. NLACW envisions a society where underprivileged women and children have equitable and unhindered access to legal rights through proper legal representation.
